Apolónia’s fish counter is a showcase of the sea’s bounty, both in Portugal’s waters and beyond. With quality and freshness our prime concerns, we source our fish and shellfish as locally as we can, reducing times between catch and sale to the minimum, while selecting our stocks from the best fish markets. Apolónia handpicks line and net caught fish from local fisherman who use traditional fishing methods, before selling their catch in markets, such as Sagres.
Customers can be sure to find fish displaying the right size and the right freshness, from locally caught sea bass and red mullet to premium sea bass or sea bream. Our specialities include specially imported fresh scallops or red tuna, to other fine catches such as John Dory, fresh cod, oysters, scarlet shrimps, and live lobster.
Our highly experienced fishmongers can prepare fish to customer requirements, cleaning, filleting, descaling, etc., and are happy to give advice on cooking and preparation. Special fish and shellfish orders can be placed on request.
