Dalgona Coffee

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee (normal or decaf)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water

Method

Place the coffee, the sugar and finally the hot water in a bowl. Using an electric whisk (or by hand) whip until it becomes firm and creamy. If whipping by hand, whip in zigzag movements, not circular. After about 5 to 10 mins you should have a firm, creamy consistency.

Put milk (hot or cold) in a cup and place the cream on top and enjoy this delicious whipped coffee drink.

 

Tip:

You can also make it right in the cup along as you have enough space to whip the coffee. Then you just have to add the hot milk.

For a sugar-free version, bear in mind that the cream will only stay firm for a few minutes before returning to its liquid state; with sugar it can stay firm for hours.
